Tara Christine Waxlax was wanted in Wright County, now faces new felony charges in Dakota County
TCAT conducted an investigation that included a surveillance detail in the subsidized housing area throughout the evening, at which point Waxlax was discovered to be staying in a townhome with a close friend.
Waxlax was contacted by bail investigators at approximately 1 AM, and taken into custody without incident, according to Stew Peters, lead investigator at the Twin Cities Apprehension Team.
At the time of the apprehension, TCAT agents discovered Waxlax to be in possession of a substance consistent with meth. The defendant was arrested on probable cause, and booked into the Dakota County jail with 5th degree possession of meth, a felony.
The Lakeville Police Department is the charging authority on the new charges, and the defendant was transported by a Lakeville community service officer.
